Hello and welcome. I'm your host, javier, and I'm so grateful you've chosen to spend some time with us today. Life is filled with uncertainties. We all experience moments where we stand at a crossroads, unsure of which direction to take or how things will work out. It's in these seasons that trusting in God's plan becomes crucial. The Bible is rich with wisdom and guidance for such times. Today, we'll explore how to navigate uncertainty and find peace by trusting God's promises through scripture. Before diving in, let's take a moment to invite God into our hearts and minds as we explore his word. Heavenly Father, we come before you with open hearts, seeking your wisdom and peace. In the midst of uncertainty, we ask for your guidance. Help us to trust in your perfect plan, even when we cannot see the way forward. May your word be a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. In the name of Jesus, we pray Amen.

Jeremiah, chapter 29, verse 11, says For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. These words were spoken to the Israelites during their time of exile, a period of deep uncertainty. They were far from their homeland, unsure of their future. Yet God reassured them that he had a plan for their lives, one filled with hope and a future. This promise holds true for us as well. No matter the uncertainties we face, we can trust that God's plans are for our good. It's easy to focus on the unknowns, but God invites us to focus on what we do know His faithfulness, goodness and sovereignty. Isaiah, chapter 41, verse 10, offers another powerful reminder Fear not, for I am with you. Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. These words remind us that, no matter how uncertain our circumstances may be, god is with us. He promises to strengthen us, help us and uphold us when fear threatens to overwhelm us, we can cling to this promise, knowing that God is in control.

In Genesis, chapter 12, verse 1, god called Abraham to leave his homeland and go to a place that God would show him. Abraham had no map, no detailed plan, just God's promise. Hebrews, chapter 11, verse 8, says by faith. Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to a place that he was to receive as an inheritance, and he went out not knowing where he was going. Abraham's faith was not in his own understanding, but in God's promises. His story teaches us that trusting God often means stepping out in faith even when we don't have all the answers.

Trusting God also involves surrendering our own plans and desires. Proverbs, chapter 3, verses 5 and 6, instructs us Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him, and he will make straight your paths. This is a call to let go of our need for control and to trust that God's ways are higher than ours. Isaiah, chapter 55, verses 8 and 9, says For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways. No-transcript.

Surrendering to God's will doesn't mean that the path will be easy, but it does mean that we can have peace, knowing that God is in control. Jesus exemplified this when he prayed my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me Nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will. That's from Matthew 26.39. Jesus' prayer of surrender reminds us that God's plan, though difficult, is ultimately for our good and for His glory. In Romans, chapter 8, verse 28, we are reminded that For those who love God, all things work together for good for those who are called according to His purpose. This is a promise we can hold on to during times of uncertainty. God is working all things together for our good, even when we can't see it. Our circumstances may not make sense to us, but we can trust that God is orchestrating everything according to His perfect will.

Another key aspect of navigating uncertainty is learning to wait on God's timing. Waiting can be incredibly challenging, especially when we're eager for answers or direction. Yet Scripture encourages us to wait on the Lord with patience and trust. Psalm 27.14 says Wait for the Lord, be strong and let your heart take courage. Wait for the Lord. Isaiah 40.31 adds but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings like eagles. They shall run and not be weary. They shall walk and not faint. Waiting on God requires us to trust that His timing is perfect, even when it doesn't align with our own Proverbs. Chapter 3, verses 5 and 6, calls us to trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding In all your ways. Acknowledge Him, and he will make straight your paths. As we trust God and wait on His timing, we can rest in the assurance that he is directing our steps even when the way forward is unclear.

In addition to waiting on God's timing, trusting God also means relying on His provision. In Matthew, chapter 6, verses 31 through 34, jesus addresses the anxiety that often accompanies uncertainty. Therefore, do not be anxious saying what shall we eat or what shall we drink or what shall we wear, for the Gentiles seek after all these things and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all but seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Therefore, do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself, Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. God knows our needs and he promises to provide for us when we seek His kingdom and righteousness first. This doesn't mean that we won't face challenges or that we'll always have everything we want, but it does mean that God will provide what we need according to His will.

The Bible is full of examples of God's provision. In 1 Kings, chapter 17, we see how God provided for the prophet Elijah during a time of famine. God sent ravens to bring Elijah bread and meat, and he provided water from a brook. When the brook dried up, god led Elijah to a widow who had very little, but God multiplied her resources so that she, her son and Elijah were provided for throughout the famine. In the book of Exodus, chapter 16, we see God providing manna from heaven for the Israelites as they wandered in the wilderness. Every day, god provided just enough manna for them to eat. The Israelites couldn't store it up. They had to trust that God would provide for them.

Daily, these stories remind us that God is our provider, even in the most difficult circumstances. When we trust in Him, we can rest in the assurance that he will meet our needs. It's also important to remember that our faith is not based on our circumstances, but on who God is. Hebrews, chapter 13, verse 8, says Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. God's character does not change and His promises remain true, no matter what we're going through. We can trust that he is faithful and that he will keep His word.

Sometimes, trusting God means embracing the mystery of faith. There will be times when we don't have all the answers, and that's okay. Part of walking by faith is trusting God even when we don't understand what he's doing, as Proverbs 3, verses 5 and 6 reminds us. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge him and he will make straight your paths.

Another important aspect of trusting God during uncertainty is the role of community. God did not create us to walk this journey of faith alone. He has given us the gift of Christian community to encourage, support and pray for one another. Hebrews 10.24-25 says and let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another and all's. When we need community the most. We need fellow believers to remind us of God's promises, to pray with us and to encourage us to keep trusting God. Sharing our struggles with others allows God to speak truth and encouragement into our lives through the people around us.

Psalm 37, verses 3-5 says Trust in the Lord and do good. Dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness. Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord, trusting Him, and he will act. These verses remind us that trusting God is an active process. It involves committing our way to the Lord, delighting in Him and faithfully doing good, even when we're facing uncertainty. We commit our way to God and delight in Him. We can trust that he will act on our behalf. God may not always act in the way we expect or on the timeline we prefer, but he will act according to His perfect plan, and His plan is always good.

As we wrap up today's discussion, let's remember that God is with us in the midst of our uncertainty. He has promised never to leave us or forsake us. Deuteronomy, chapter 31, verse 6, says Be strong and courageous, do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord, your God, who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you. Hebrews, chapter 13, verse 5, echoes this promise I will never leave you nor forsake you. No matter what uncertainties we face, we can rest in the assurance that God is walking with us through every challenge, every trial and every unknown.

Let's close with a prayer asking God for the faith to trust Him in the midst of uncertainty. Heavenly Father, we thank you for your constant presence with us In times of uncertainty.
